Featured in this lot is this exceptional Sioux Native American Indian stone head skullcracker (skull cracker) war club dating to the 19th Century. This is a bi-point, conal shaped, hand carved and scrapped stone head secured to a stripped wood haft handle and secured by a wrapping of parfleche. The haft end has been pressed into a carved hole in the bottom of the head. The handle is completely covered in Parfleche buffalo rawhide and willow switch shaft. The condition of this skullcracker is fair, with the haft showing significant damage to the integrity of the shaft, however there is good condition of the bi-point stone head. The measurements of this skull cracker are 11 3/4" x 6" x 2 1/2".
