Muir was a Scottish-American naturalist who campaigned extensively for the preservation of America's wilderness lands. He co-founded the Sierra Club and is often referred to as the "Father of the National Parks". The book is a compilation of accounts and stories of Muir's adventures from 1873 up till 1902, recounting his travels across the American West. This hardcover book contains 12 illustrations throughout the piece showing landscapes and scenes. The book shows a light green cover with gilt lettering along the cover and spine and a gilt coloured image of a poppy flower. The piece shows good condition overall with some very light wear across the cover and spine. The book measures 7.75"L x 5.25"W x 1"D approximately.
