Featured in this lot is this Hardin stemmed projectile point with Jackson Galleries Certificate of Authenticity circa Late Archaic Period or 3,500 BP. The point features a wonderfully and professionally crafted Fossil Chert material that shows a long lanceolate shape with an straight stem that flares very slightly. The point comes complete with a Jackson Galleries Certificate of Authenticity: Jackson Galleries is Internationally known for our objective, unbiased, scientific approach to Artifact Authentication. Upon completion of the evaluation, either a Certificate of Authenticity is issued, or a detailed letter describing our findings is issued, with copies kept at our location to ensure accuracy and to prevent forgeries. The condition of this projectile point is well preserved condition with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this projectile point is 7 1/8" x 1 1/2". The collective weight of this point is 78.8g.
