For your consideration, this lot includes a Hand Signed Original Palette-Knife Oil Painting, "A Few Flowers", by Paul Blaine Henrie. Stretched and mounted on a mahogany hardwood frame. Paul Blaine Henrie (1932 – 1999) was an American painter and illustrator who was known for seascapes and coastal scenes. Henrie became known for his watercolors and palette-knife oil paintings of California coastal scenes as well as exotic locales he had visited in Tahiti, Mexico, and New Orleans. In works prior to 1962, his signature is "Paul Henrie" or "Blaine". After 1961, he signed them "Paul Blaine Henrie". Henrie reserved his best work for his collectors and several prestigious galleries like the Grand Central Art Galleries in New York City. The rear of the canvas has a personal inscription by the artist to a friend he painted this for, "A Few Flowers" by PBH, for Jay! 1 of the greatest 45 year old bastards I've ever known! Thanks. Paul Blaine Henrie. This wonderful palette-knife oil painting is in exceptional condition, the colours are vibrant and striking, no marring noted. The mahogany hardwood frame is in very good condition, very slight scuffing noted, no other obvious marring noted. Visible art measures 11.5" x 17.5"L, frame is 16.5"W x 22.5"L
