This is an exceptional and scarce original Eddie (Edward) Beyuka (1920-2002) Zuni Kachina bolo. Original authentic vintage pieces from Eddie are increasingly scarce. This piece was finished by his son Jonathan Beyuka after his death and is signed J. Beyuka. The piece has a large size with multi-stone inlay all done in sterling silver work. This is a Hoop Dancer Kachina or Katsina, a documented shape by Eddie himself. The dancer shows stones of Mother of Pearl, Turquoise, Coral, onyx, and at the feather along with head a stone similar to tortoise shell (not tortoise), possibly a horn. The bolo is on black leather strand and along with two tips in sterling silver. The bolo by itself measures 3 3/8"H by 3 3/8"W. The entire bolo measures 26" from the back of the neck to the end of the tips. Total weight is 40.8 grams.
