The lot features an original one of a kind work of art by renowned Montana Artist, Ace Powell (1912-1978). The piece is signed and shows the iconic playing card. Unlike other Ace Powell examples this is a one of a kind original. This piece was formed by Ace Powell's own hand and signed as such showing a classic Montana Native American Brave. The piece was not made into a bronze sculpture and is the only one like it. The bottom has a collection sticker marked Ace Powell Original Clay Sculpture $2,000. Asa Lynn "Ace" Powell was an American painter, sculptor, and etcher of genre scenes and imagery relating to Indians, cowboys, horses, and wildlife. His artwork was influenced by that of fellow Montana artist Charles M. Russell. The piece is well kept showing good condition. Measures overall 6.25"H by 4"W by 5"D.
