Featured in this lot is an African Ivory Coast Cowrie Shell Tribal Crown, c. 1890-1920. The crown is made of tightly woven wicker and also features black and white trade beads. Cowrie is the name for different size sea snails. This hat shows good condition for age and measures 7.5" x 6.5" x 2".
