Featured in this lot is this African Kenyan Massai tribal lion hunting sword circa 1930 to 1950's. The sword features a wonderfully and professionally crafted boiled leather and iron construction that shows a leaf double sided blade that shows a boiled leather wrapped handle and a boiled leather with red ochre decoration sheath that has a modern leather tassel to replace the sheath connector to hang on a hunting belt. The condition of this Massai hunting sword is well preserved with some wear to the boiled leather sheath and dings to the edge of the double sided blade but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The overall measurements of this 23 3/4" x 2 7/8" and the blade length is 15 1/4". The collective weight of this 1lb.
