Featured in this lot is this beautiful platinum, 18K yellow gold, natural chrysoberyl alexandrite and VS1 - SI1 diamond ring with AIGL paperwork and GIA report. The ring features a polished and stamped platinum & 18K yellow gold construction with the stamped hallmark reading, "Oscar Friedman". Set in the center of the ring is a beautiful natural chrysoberyl alexandrite gemstone with a brilliant crown and modified pavilion cut showing a pear shape. It shows a bluish / green color with a color change showing gray - purple, a refractive index of 1.746 to 1.755, a hardness rating of 8.5, measurements of 7.36 x 5.00 x 3.62mm and a carat total weight of 1.01. Accenting the ring are fifty-three natural, round brilliant cut diamonds showing measurements of 1.0 - 1.8mm, a clarity grade of VS1 - SI1, a color grade of F - G, a refractive index of 2.417, a hardness of 10 and a carat total weight of 0.76. The piece comes complete with AIGL, Inc.(American International Gemological Laboratories, Inc. a GIA certified lab AIGL#: K51E12-EA20670) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $16,614.00. GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Sapphire Grading Report#: 5231228908. The ring is size US 7 and weighs 5.7 grams. RN037127.
