For your consideration is a pair of tooled leather western Tapaderos attributed to Al Furstnow. These Tapaderos covers are expertly tooled with a beautiful floral western design. These Tapaderos are unmarked but are extremely similar in style to that of predominant maker Al Furstnow. A tapadero prevents the rider's boot from slipping through and also prevents brush encountered while working cattle on the open range from poking through the stirrup, injuring or impeding the horse or rider. The leather is in good condition but should be cleaned and oiled. The Tapaderos measure approximately 26” x 8” x 11 ¾”.
