Featured in this lot is this Fort Grant, Arizona from Albert F. Korauk circa 19th century; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The cabinet card features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a dragoon cavalrymen with his curved saber unsheathed and wearing traditional patrol uniform and was show by Albert F Kovauk in Fort Grant, Arizona. The cabinet card comes with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Soldier from Fort Grant - which was located 25 miles north of Wilcox, AZ. It was officially abandoned in 1895, but the post office remained opened until 1905; in 1908 President Teddy Roosevelt got upset with a colonel Stewart, and Roosevelt exiled him him to Ft. Grant (now closed). The Colonel's command consisted of himself and his cook. The condition of this Fort Grant cabinet card is well preserved with some fading and water saturation to the cabinet card but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this cabinet card is 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". ML-25
