The lot features court documents against Prostitute Alice Abbott El Paso, Texas circa 1886 and Texas Docket 1886 against Jack McEnery for assault and attempted murder. Big Alice Abbott was a famous madam prostitute of El Paso, Texas known for her run-in with Bessie Colvin in the same year of 1886. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The first docket is #250 for The State of Texas vs. Alice Abbott who was charged and plead guilty to "Going into a public place and using loud, vulgar, and vociferous language in a manner calculated to disturb the inhabitants hereof." she was charged to pay a $1.00 fine and was commanded to be interred in custody until payment was received which was paid and she left discharged in June 5th, 1886. This is an official Justice Docket from The State of Texas numbered #249 and #250 circa 1886. Number #249 includes the complaint against Jack McEnery for the Assault in and upon Harry E Poinier with the intent to murder; the warrant was issued on the 25th day of May, 1886 and was placed into the custody of L.A. Wiggins (constable). His bail was set at $1000.00 and is commanded to be interned until his charges are fully discharged. The condition of this Texas Justice Docket sheet #249 & 250 is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows some browning to the page consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
