Featured in this lot is a collection of three (3) Western History books from various authors. The first book is titled, "The American West - Images Of Past And Present" by Tim Newark in 1985. The book outlines the last days of the Frontier Days and the coming of new years and technology. The book has numerous colored illustrations and photos of Native Americans, cowboys, the old west, and new advancements in the modern day. Although the Frontier days are gone, one can still feel the gut thrill of the West in its soaring cities and in its vast, inspiring landscapes. The book is in good condition with no signs of obvious damage. It measures 12 3/4" L x 9 1/4" W x 1/4" D. The second book is titled, "The Great American West - A Pictorial History from Coronado to the Last Frontier" by James D. Horan. Here is a full western story from the days of the conquistadors to the twentieth century, in an account notable not only for its comprehensiveness, but also for its amazing collection of photographs which show all aspects of the West as it actually was. this book presents a thrilling panoramic view of the vast and wonderfully varied land that lies between the Mississippi Valley and the Pacific Ocean, and traces of the exciting story of how Americans explored it, settled and developed it, established law and order and made it great. The book features 650 illustrations and 500 photographs of the great American West. The book is in good condition overall with no obvious signs of damage. It measures 12" L x 9" W x 1 1/4" D. The third book in this collection is "The Lawmen" by James D. Horan in 1996. This book follows frontier sheriffs, federal marshals, and peace officers, who faced the lawbreakers and helped make the cities of the West safe and prosperous. The book is in good condition overall with no signs of obvious damage. The interior pages are in good condition with no tears or signs of foxing. The book measures 11" L x 8 1/2" W x 1 1/8" D.
