Included in this lot is an antique black powder percussion rifle. This beautifully patina’d rifle utilizes a 36” barrel with an 8 ½” octagonal section near the hammer. This muzzle loading rifle operates from a percussion hammer and wooden ram rod. The bore diameter at the end of the muzzle measures 15.5 mm. The rifle is equipped with a sturdy walnut hardwood stock showing a dark coloration due to age. The metal of the side lock, crescent butt plate and hammer show a dark gray patina. The hammer locks back and the trigger releases the hammer as intended. The firearm has not been tested. No Serial Number. Black powder firearms do not require a FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
