The clock is a mechanical windup clock (missing key; not tested), such as would be found on a ship. The clock face has Roman Numerals and is stamped, "Anglo Swiss Watch Co./ London". The beveled glass is in very good condition, having no cracks, but the hinge on the door itself is broken. The brass finish shows age but can be shined. age of the clock is unknown, but the face does have flathead screws. The flanged clock measures 8" at the back and has a 6.5" face; it is 2.75" deep. The brass bell is suspended over a round brass base with a flat brass bar supported by two brass spindles. A lever on the brass bar can swing the bell to sound it. The brass finish has mellowed to a nice patina. The bell rings clear; it measures 6" at the base and is nearly 7" tall. The bell itself is about 4" in diameter by 3.5" tall.
