This is a antique George Lawrence heavy leather ammo belt made to take rifle bullets. The George Lawrence Company of Portland, Oregon, a saddlery, harness and leather goods firm established in 1857 and incorporated in 1893. was one of the largest makers of leather goods in the West. They have an excellent reputation for quality. The belt can hold 30 rounds. It is stamped with "40-Geo. Lawrence-Portland, Or". It has a brass buckle and very nice cognac-colored leather. Measures 42" long.
