Features discussions on the origin of the valley, contrasting early theories (like those of Josiah Whitney) with the then-emerging glaciation theory supported by Dr. F. E. Matthes. This original 98-page edition included three essential maps: an "aeroplane view" of valley features, a map of Yosemite Village, and a contour map of the surrounding region. Lastly is a Rare Original "Santa Fe Guide Book", 1945, published by the Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper is a 68-page historical artifact that served as a visitor's guide and hotel directory during the final year of World War II.
