Featured in this lot is this 1940-60s Bailey's Hats counter top advertising mirror sign. The Bailey Hat Company was founded in 1922 by George S. Bailey in Los Angeles, California. Bailey's goal was to create high-quality hats for the Western wear and West Coast markets. The company is still in business today, making quality, hand-crafted Western hats for all. This advertising mirror is constructed from wood and features two wooden legs that can swing out from the back so the sign may be set up on the ground. The legs can be folded back and the mounting pieces can be utilized for hanging the sign on the wall. In the center is an oval shaped mirror to check out the hats you might be buying, with black lettering below it reading, "Bailey's Hats". The piece shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no signs of major damage is noted. The mirror section measures 17 3/8" L x 11 1/8" W, while the entire piece measures 27" L x 14" W x 2 1/4" D. It weighs 7 pounds and 4 ounces.
