For your consideration is this beautiful oil pastel painting set in a bubble glass frame circa mid 1900s. This painting has no artist signature but a name is written on the back of the frame reading, "Raymond Britton" in red lettering, along with his name written in pen on the tag on the back. The painting depicts two elk, one swimming across the lake, while one stands on a rock near the shore and makes a call out to the surrounding wilderness. In the background are beautiful, towering snow-capped mountains and a waterfall spilling into the lake. They are surrounded by green foliage and trees and stand under a partly cloudy, but sunny sky. The painting is set in a lovely bubble glass frame with embossed floral details around the trim. The piece shows good condition overall with little wear present. No signs of damage is noted. The visible art measures 16 7/8" L x 9 7/8" W, while the entire piece measures 20 3/4" L x 13 3/4" W x 1" D. It weighs 3 pounds and 8 ounces.
