Featured in this lot is this oil on board framed painting of a manhunt posse circa 1930's-1940's by artist Beckett. The painting features a wonderfully and professionally crafted oil on board construction that shows a wooden frame. The scene of the painting shows a manhunt posse on a hillside firing their rifles at two men trying to flee into the tree line with a mountain range in the distance. The artist signature is shown in the bottom right hand corner and reads 'Beckett.' The condition of this oil on board painting is well preserved with some wear and chipping to the frame and some scuff marks to the painting but otherwise is well preserved. The measurements of this framed painting is 36" x 46 3/8" and the visible artwork measures 29 1/2" x 39 1/2".
