These "Tabatiere" Snyder style breech systems by the Belgians were commonly sold surplus to French Fur Traders and to the Native American Indians as an affordable shotgun. The firearm has a walnut stock, external side hammer, and swinging breech loading mechanism. The barrel displays a warm patina and tight action. The frame shows good condition, with the stock missing a top section near the breech.
