Featured in this lot is a Belgian Tabatiere Conversion "Hunter" shotgun chambered in 12 ga. This converted shotgun features a 31" round barrel, chambered in 12 ga, breech system, and walnut stock. These "Tabatiere" Snyder style breech systems by the Belgians were commonly sold surplus to French Fur Traders and to the Native American Indians as an affordable shotgun. The firearm has a walnut stock, external side hammer, and swinging breech loading mechanism. The barrel displays a warm patina and tight action. The frame shows good condition, with the stock missing a top section near the breech. Serial Number: 254: This firearm qualifies as an Antique and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
