Featured in this lot is this Big Valley stemmed cluster point from the Middle to Late Archaic Period and dated from 6,000 - 4,000 B.P. This is a slightly serrated medium size point with a straight stem and an excurvate symmetrical blade. The point was expertly knapped from a speckled light brown chert material. The condition of this point is good and well-preserved, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this point are 3 5/8" x 1" x 1/4".
