Featured in this lot is this original painting on canvas done by Bill Gayl Brady (1925-2011) in Seneca, Missouri circa 2004. Bill was born on May 10, 1925, in Ottowa County, Oklahoma. He graduated from Northeastern A&M in Miami, Oklahoma, and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, with a B.S.. He attended Los Angeles State in California, and later earned a Masters Degree from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Bill passed away in June 2011. This framed painting shows great attention to detail and vivid colors throughout. It depicts four cowboys trying to rope a large, angry bull. The bull has already knocked one cowboy and his horse to the ground and is inches from being on top of them. The cowboy on the right hand side has the bull roped, while the cowboy in the middle has his revolver drawn, ready to end the single bull stampede. The cowboy on the left hand side is watching the action as his horse rears from all the commotion. A crazy and chaotic scene, brought to life by the artist's attention to detail and use of vivid colors. On the back of the canvas and frame are the artist's signature reading, "Bill G. Brady Seneca, MO / Bill Gayl Brady Seneca, Mo 8-15-2004". The painting is set in a gold colored frame. Both the painting and the frame show good condition overall with slight wear present on the frame. No signs of obvious damage or major wear is present on the frame or the painting. The visible art measures 23 3/8" L x 35 1/2" W, while the entire piece measures 30 1/2" L x 42 9/16" W x 1 3/4". It weighs 10 pounds and 12 ounces.
