For your consideration is a vintage Black Forest Jauch Westminster Chime Wall Clock, circa 1960s-1970s. The story of Jauch clocks begins in the early 20th century. Established by the Jauch family in Schwenningen, Germany, a region renowned for clock making, the company quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality timepieces. This region, often referred to as the "Black Forest" area, has long been associated with clock production, making it the perfect environment for the Jauch family to flourish. The company developed advanced clock movement technologies thus contributing to the evolution of precision timekeeping. In addition, they collaborated with other prominent clock manufacturers, supplying them with high-quality clock movements. The company’s commitment to quality ensured that their movements were not only used in their own clocks but also by other clockmakers across Europe. The company was innovative, constantly seeking to improve the accuracy and functionality of their timepieces. They introduced various chime mechanisms, including the popular Westminster chime, which became a hallmark of Jauch clocks. This Black Forest wall clock is in nice condition, movement appears to be in working condition, English and German language instruction sheets included, wind up key also included. Clock measures 6.5"D x 11.25"W x 25"H, weight is 18 lbs.*
