For your consideration is this hand-carved walnut bear bench, circa mid 1900's, in the style and manner of a German Black Forest carving. The bench shows fantastic craftsmanship, showing two lovely bears as arm rests and the support for the bench with cross section textured heads and faces. The bench shows a black forest style bench back with floral decoration and a single bear seeming to hold the bench backing up. The bench seat shows a hand-carved wood grain texturing with three circles that show spoke decoration in the center. The condition of this hand-carved bench is good, with no obvious signs of damage; there are settling cracks consistent with hand-carved pieces like this. The measurements of this hand carved bench are 36" x 64" x 23".
