For your consideration is this 1935, 1st edition of, "Blackfeet Indians - Pictures by Winold Reiss" by Frank B. Linderman, published by The Congress of the United States and copy-righted by the Great Northern Railway in St. Paul, Minnesota, 1935. Linderman lived in Montana and had longstanding relationships with Native communities, writes about Blackfeet traditions, daily life, character, and history as he understood them in the early twentieth century. This book is an illustrated nonfiction work that presents a descriptive portrait of the Blackfeet people of the Northern Great Plains. The book combines Linderman’s written observations with striking color portraits and illustrations by artist Winold Reiss. The volume was published in connection with the anniversary of Glacier National Park, reflecting both a commemorative purpose and the period’s romanticized attitudes toward Indigenous peoples. The book shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. Interior pages show good condition as well. The book measures 12 1/4" L x 10 1/4" W x 1/2" D and weighs 1 pound and 7 ounces.
