The lot features a fabulous set of circa 1989 Bob an Diane Scalese of Big Sandy, Montana sterling silver mounted spurs to commemorate the 1889-1989 Montana Centennial Cattle Drive. These are premium, handcrafted Western spurs made by Bob and Diane Scalese of Big Sandy, Montana, renowned for their intricate traditional Western bright-cut engraving. Operating as Sweetwater Silver, they have specialized in high-quality engraved spurs, bits, and cowboy gear since 1986. Bob handles the fabrication of the spurs, while Diane performs the intricate engraving work. Known for traditional Western bright cut, they often incorporate other techniques like Bulino and flare cut. The spurs feature a wonderfully and professionally crafted stainless steel and silver mounted construction that features silver overlays of the state of Montana with a stamped floral design with overlays of the centennial years on either side of the state overlay.The buttons display a bronze buffalo skull overlay, the shanks feature a stamped floral overlay immediately above the ten point rowels. The heel bands are each stamped, "SCALESE E. GLAC. PK. MT" and "MT CENTENNIAL ED. 400/2000" The condition of this pair of spurs is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this pair of spurs is 3.75"W x 6"L x 1"D, collective weight is 14oz.
