For your consideration is a Bob Scriver original bronze tiled "Ace Powell" and numbered 21/35. obert Macfie Scriver (1914-1999) was born in Browning, Montana (in the heart of the Blackfoot Indian Reservation) in 1914. Scriver began sculpting using taxidermy to learn his craft of making wildlife bronzes. The subject matter Ace Powell was an American painter, sculptor, and etcher of genre scenes and imagery relating to Indians, cowboys, horses, and wildlife. His artwork was influenced by that of fellow Montana artist Charles M. Russell. Powell's lifetime body of work consists of between 12,000 and 15,000 artworks. Although he preferred working with oil paints, he also produced a large number of watercolor paintings and drawings, as well as a number of works in bronze. This bronze is signed by the artist and dated 1959. The piece is title "Ace" and numbered 21/35. It measures 8" x 7.5" x 21".
