For your consideration is this scarce first edition of "Boots and Saddles or Life in Dakota with General Custer" written by Elizabeth B. Custer and published in 1885. The book is a wonderful narrative of the life of General Custer on the plains in the mid to late 1800's. The book was written as a dedication to her husband, General George Armstrong Custer, and chronicles their life together from the until his untimely death at the hands of Indians at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. Elizabeth Clift Custer was an American author and public speaker, and the wife of Brevet Major General George Armstrong Custer, United States Army. The condition of this book is fair, and really shows its age with age marks on the spine and cover of this book with some loose pages towards the front. The measurements of this book are 7 3/4" x 5 1/2".
