This is a first edition of "Boots and Saddles or Life in Dakota with General Custer" written by Elizabeth B. Custer and published in 1885. The book was written as a dedication to her husband, General George Armstrong Custer, and chronicles their life together from the until his untimely death at the hands of Indians at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. The appendix of the book includes numerous extracts of letters from General Custer, including many from just prior to the battle of the Little Bighorn. The book ex-library, but is in good overall condition for its age. It measures 5.25" x 7.5".
