Featured in this lot we have a Hereke Turlish, hand knotted fine silk runner rug. The rug features a fine and detailed wonderfully woven design, bright colors, and very tight weave. The rug was handcrafted with bamboo silk in the coastal town of Hereke, located in Turkey. The Hereke rugs are known for their detail and and high thread count. The piece displays a wonderful tight geometric floral pattern, with the border showing floral designs. The piece shows a tight weave, with beautiful colors of red, white, light blue, burn orange, and gold. The rug displays a tag on the underside with general information on it. The rug shows good condition overall. The rug weights 12lbs 10oz. Tag marked BAM, potentially Bamboo Silk. The rug measures 30" wide by 90 1/2" long.
