Available in this lot is a genuine, hand braided horse hair Mecate rope originating from the early to mid-1900s. The rope displays dark brown coloration with off-white strands mixed in sporadically. One end is braided into itself and the other end has a Turks Head knot with red and grey cotton yarn. The rope shows like-new condition. The rope measures 1/2" thick by approximately 24' 6" long. This is a wonderful piece.
