Featured in this lot is this custom pair of Buffalo Bill Cody Wild West Show wooly chaps with Buffalo fur by Montana's Leather Legends chap maker Marge Tayler in Fromberg, Montana. Provenance: Originally made for a Bridger, MT Museum wall decor for the Buffalo Bill Cody artifact corner. The chaps feature a wonderfully and professionally crafted custom construction that shows premium leather with a basket weave carved waist band and covered with buffalo or bison hide for the wooly aspect and shows a carved leather portrait of Buffalo Bill Cody in a leather plaque on each legging (that can be removed to incorporate any design) and is lined with a canvas underside for more comfortablility. Leather Legends has over 50 years experience designing leather and western wear. In the 1960’s Marge Taylor began making leather garments, chaps, and patterns on the rodeo circuit. From those beginnings Leather Legends was born. We are a family establishment with children, grandchildren, and in-laws, all contributing to the design and creation of our works. Our items have been worn by Rodeo World Champions, and some are on display in the Rodeo Hall of Fame.
