Featured in this lot is this Ex - Gary Jacobson Estate commissioned John Wayne multi-view portrait by South Korean artist Dae H. Cho circa 2013. Provenance: From The Gary Jacobson Estate. Gary Jacobson: Dae H. Cho was born in South Korea in the late 40's His father was a well known artist in South Korea. Dae Cho also became a well known artist in South Korea and also became a teacher of art. Dae Cho decided to venture to the United States. He stated a Gallery in California and specialized in Seascape paintings. In the mid 80's Dae Cho moved to Littleton Colorado and loved it there. He has operated Cho's Fine Art Studio ever since, has been in a few galleries and done work with the colleges. He is married and has 2 sons. Dae Cho would do a few shows a year, some in large malls and one year went to Great Falls for C M Russell Week. I met Dae Cho about 2003 and we became food friends. Dae Cho had a special talent to paint seascapes but could paint anything you asked him to do. I had him do some Western Paintings and John Wayne Paintings, and every year we would meet and I would add a few more to my collection. He painted a lot of excellent Religious Paintings and would donate them to his Church for fund raising. Over the years I tried to support his art and he will always be a friend and special person to me. I think hi is one of the better artists on John Wayne Paintings. The painting shows the likeness of John Wayne in four different roles from Miclintock to True Grit to name two of them. The likeness is uncanny and shows a American Flag in the background at the top of the painting. The painting is an original and shows the artist signature in the bottom left hand corner as follows: Dae H Cho - '13. The condition of this painting is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this painting is 20 1/2" x 44 1/4". The collective weight of painting is 9lb 4oz.
