This is an original authentic photograph of William Frederick Buffalo Bill Cody and his Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show in 1903. This circa 1903 original photograph shows the entire wild west show troupe. The photograph shows Oglala Lakota Chief Iron Tail standing at Buffalo Bill’s right and Charles Kettering at his left along with over twenty other Native American Indians. Charles Kettering was an American inventor, engineer, businessman and the holder of 186 patents. Kettering founded Delco and was head of research at General Motors. Chief Iron Tail is one of the most famous Native American Indian celebrities of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is known for his star performance with the Buffalo Bill’s Wild West but is most notable in American history for his distinctive profile on the Buffalo Nickel or Indian Head Nickel of 1913 to 1938. This is truly a wonderfully historic and original photograph with excellent Western and American history. Frame measures 8.25”x10.25”.
