This is an exceedingly rare original signed Buffalo Dancer Native American Indian sterling silver and turquoise concho belt from Taos, New Mexico and made by Lawrence Archuleta. Buffalo Dancer is one of the finest Native American jewelry makers known for their high quality and stunning designs. The concho belt shows an early 1900's style buckle with 7 finely crafted cinchos and 8 butterfly spacers. Each piece has been set with perfectly matched gem quality turquoise cabochons. The conchos and spacers are backed on leather to further highlight the quality silversmith craftsmanship. The back of the buckle is marked "Sterling" and is signed :Buffalo Dancer". The sterling silver concho belt is in very good condition. The buckle measures 2.5" x 3" and the conchos are 2.25" x 3". The belt measures 51.5" long. Each concho and the buckle show a heavy construction with exquisite craftsmanship and beauty. This is possibly the most attractive and most stunning concho or concha belt we have offered for sale.
