Featured in this lot is a Frederic Remington, bronze sculpture titled "Buffalo Horse". The sculpture depicts the fateful moment of impact of a large buffalo as it sends a Native American horse and rider into the air. The buffalo is shown with its front two hooves off the ground, the horse partially draped over one shoulder, and the buffalo hunter desperately grabbing onto the horse’s mane. The piece is signed "Remington" across the back and shows a medallion, reading "European Bronze". The bronze is set onto a black marble base and would make a fine addition to any collection. The piece shows good condition overall, and it measures 16" tall by 10 3/4" long and 7 1/2" wide.
