Featured in this lot is this coyote mask headdress from the Buffalo Shop in South Dakota. The coyote mask headdress features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a full body coyote pelt with paws and claws intact and shows strings of hide adorned with trade beads to the head and strips of brown color hide presumably from another coyote all attached with large discoidal abalone shell. The hide side towards the bottom legs is marked with the buffalo shop hallmark. Buffalo Shop is a destination for collectors, designers, and discerning clients who appreciate the rare beauty of the natural world.
