Offered in this lot is an original Limited Edition Bronze , "BULL RIDER" by Mike Capser, 329/950. Bronze comes with a detached finished wood base for mounting. Signature is noted incised on the top of the bronze base platform with the date '80', the underside of the bronze platform has 329/950 stamped. Excellent detail on both the cowboy and the Brahman bull. A wildlife and landscape painter, especially of pristine watercolors, artist Mike Capser was raised on a cattle ranch in the Crazy Mountain Range of Southwest Montana. He started sketching his surroundings as a youngster, and at age seven, a visit by him to the Buffalo Bill Historical Society in Cody, Wyoming sealed his determination to become an artist. He first decided to become a western painter like Frederic Remington and Charles Russell, but he later changed to wildlife and landscape. He maintains a studio in Billings, Montana where he has a sweeping view of the northern edge of Yellowstone Valley. He is basically a self-taught artist, who began sketching while working on the ranch to pass the time.
This bronze is in good overall condition, no marring noted. The detached wood base has very slight scuffing most likely due to handling. Measurements are 4"W x 6"H x 7.5"L
