Featured in this lot we have a G. Goulcher percussion cap Kentucky long rifle chambered in .44 Cal and originates from the 1840's with leather rifle scabbard. This is a circa 1840's percussion Kentucky long rifle with large heavy octagon barrel and high grade wood. The rifle shows a heavy 33" octagonal barrel, hardwood stock, percussion cap hammer and etched lock plate, and brass trigger guard and butt plate. The lock plate is etched with a hunting scene design with a scroll reading "G. Goulcher". The stock displays cross checked designs with a brass storage door. The stock displays some light wear from age and use. The rifle displays a rare upgraded rear sight and shrouded front sight with the adjustable rear sight still in place. The rifle shows a good working action and double trigger system. The rifle comes with a leather fringed rifle scabbard. The rifle is in good condition overall with some wear due to use and age. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
