This is a trade knife from the Plains Indians dating to the Indian Wars era of circa 1870. The knife shows a typical documented trade knife pattern with "skinning" like blade with two piece hardwood grips secured with iron pins. The knife is well kept and similar to the example attributed as a scalping knife in a previous NAAC sale. The trade knife shows good condition. Measures overall 11"L.
