Featured in this lot is this circa 1872 white leather wedding gloves and gauntlets. There are two pairs of gloves or gauntlets in this collection. Both are constructed from white leather with the first pair covering only the hands and the gauntlets covering up to the elbows. This pair of gloves is Mother Mckelvey's and she was married in 1872. The second pair is from an unknown wedding but shows a more stark style. The condition of these pair's of wedding gloves is well preserved in display cases with some wear to the gloves from age and discoloration from use but otherwise are well preserved. The measurements of the display case is 12 3/8" x 8 1/4" x 7/8" and 14 5/8" x 8" x 1 5/8". The collective weight of this collection of wedding gloves is 2lb 2oz.
