For your consideration is this collection of various cigarette company collectors cards from 1889 to 1890. The collection includes cards from Goodwin & Co. Old Judge Cigarettes, W.M.S. Kimball & Co's Cigarettes and Kinney Bros High Class Cigarettes. Between 1875 and the 1940s, cigarette companies often included collectible trading cards with their packages of cigarettes. Cigarette card sets document popular culture from the turn of the century, often depicting the period’s actresses, costumes, and sports, as well as offering fascinating insights into mainstream American humor and cultural norms. The Goodwin & Co. cigarette cards include 8 cards from the flower collection. The W.M.S. Kimball Cigarettes feature 1 card from the "Ballet Queens" collection. The Kinney Bros Cigarettes feature 1 card from the "Leaders" collection, 3 cards from the "Naval Vessels of the World" collection and 1 card from the "Harlequin" collection. The cards show good condition for their vintage age with slight wear and fading to some cards. The cards measure 2 1/2" L x 1 1/2" W.
