Included in this lot is a first edition hardcover of “Echoes from the Rocky Mountains” by John W. Clampitt (1839-1906). The full title reads, "Echoes from the Rocky Mountains: Reminiscences and Thrilling Incidents of the Romantic and Golden Age of the Great West, with a graphic account of its discovery, settlement, and grand development". The book was published in 1889 and contains over 100 black and white illustrations. The book features accounts and stories from a wide array of sources. The piece covers topics such as Yellowstone, Yosemite, and the Pony Express, along with many others. The book shows fair condition for its age, with wear across the cover. The spine of the book is covered with leather. The book measures 9 3/4" tall by 7" wide and 2 1/4" thick.
