This is an original circa 1890-1900’s Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show sculpture of Buffalo Bill riding his horse, done in pot metal with a bronze paint. These sculptures would have been sold at Buffalo Bills Wild West shows. The sculpture shows a gold / bronze coloring and great details. Buffalo Bill is sitting atop his horse with one arm raised holding a rope as he looks towards the viewer. The horse has its mouth open and is rearing its front foot as to stop or turn. The gold / bronze coloring is slowly fading, and shows a black color underneath. The base shows a dirt like texture and floral designs of vines and leaves. The bottom of the base has a felt like layer. Overall the sculpture shows good condition with wear to the paint throughout the piece and a slight crack in the sculpture under Buffalo Bill's left leg and the saddle, but no other signs of damage are present. The sculpture measures 3 7/8" L x 8 3/8" W x 8 5/8" H. The sculpture weighs approximately 3 pounds and 6 ounces.
