The lot features an early 1900's beaded Indian hide tomahawk drop with internal flat bag from the Sioux Indians. The piece is comprised of Indian tanned hide with trade cotton thread sewing of early glass trade seed bead beadwork in a typical Sioux geometric pattern showing a chalk white background with shapes in greasy yellow, red white hearts, cobalt, Cheyenne pink, greasy green, semi-transparent dark green, greasy light blue, semi-transparent rose. The bottom shows a hand cut Indian tanned hide fringes. The drop itself is a flat bag showing a compartment which is accessible at the top just below the pierced hole which would have attached to the tomahawk. The outside edge has a fancy beaded border.
