Featured in this lot is a Colt New Army & New Navy Special .38 Caliber (DA) Double Action Revolver Model of 1895 / Model of 1892. The revolver features a nickel finish 6" barrel, frame, hard rubber black grips marked "COLT" with the rampant colt image, and six shot cylinder. The piece is marked across the top of the barrel with faded lettering, reading "Colt's PT FA MFG Co. Hartford Conn. U.S.A. Patented Aug. 5. 1884. Nov ~". The pistol comes with its original factory grips with a worn checkered pattern and medallion design at the top showing the Colt logo. This revolver shows good condition, with wear and handling marks from use. The mechanics function smoothly and are tight. The bore is in good condition, with good rifling. The revolver is marked "732" on the cylinder ejection lever, on the cylinder swing out frame, and 732 / 5 on the inside of the frame. Serial Number: 137970 manufactured in circa 1900. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
