Featured in this lot we have a Savage Arms Model 24 rifle and shotgun break action combination gun chambered in both .30-30 caliber and 12 Gauge. This combination gun features a break action over under design with the top barrel rifled and chambered for .30-30 and the bottom barrel is a smooth bore designed for 12 gauge. The firearm displays 24" long round over under barrels, synthetic stock, etched frame, adjustable hammer, break action, and shell ejector rods. The left side of the barrels are marked "SAVAGE Model 24 Cal 30-30 WIN. SAVAGE ARMS CO., Westfield. MASS. U.S.A." on the top barrel with "PROOF TESTED 12 GAUGE 2 3/4 & 3 INCH SHELLS" on the bottom barrel with the right side marked with a warning label. The hammer features an adjustable lever switch allowing for the hammer to manually change between the top and bottom barrels. The piece comes with a shoulder strap with shotgun shell loops. The combination gun shows good condition overall with some light wear due to use and handling. Mechanically the gun is in good working order with a crisp trigger action and the rifle firing pin needing to be replaced. Serial Number: F604183. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.
