This is a fabulous circa 1930's Northern Crow high-top young man / woman or child's moccasins from the Crow Reservation in Montana from the ex-collection of Fighting Bear Antiques Terry Winchell Jackson, Wyoming with an old collection tag. The set is comprised of Indian tanned hide with thick leather hard sole bottoms with high Indian tanned hide ankle leg wrappings, covered on the foot with fine petite beadwork and the leg wrapped with matching beaded leggings. The leggings are fully beaded with Indian tanned hide ties and old calico floral trade clothe lining. The entire set is done with early petite glass trade seed beads showing a Cheyenne pink background with banded and diamond accents in semi-transparent red, semi-transparent teel green, dark red, semiptransparent light green, chalk white, corn yellow and cobalt blue. The old tag is handwritten, "Crow '30 childs moccs + leggings LST". The set is well kept showing the legging incorporated to make a stunning matched pair of high top moccasins / hightop moccasins / high-top moccasins. Classic early Crow beaded pattern. Overall measures 7-inches high by 7-inches long by 3.5-inches wide.
