The lot features a set of circa 1940-1950's Indian hide large full size moccasins with whimsical floral beadwork from the Northern Cree Native American Indians. The set shows Indian tanned hide construction in traditional Cree pattern showing a soft sole which extends over the toe as one piece. a "U" shaped hide piece ontop of the foot and a folded over ankle. The set has a calico inside lining at teh ankle fold over and shows period correct early to mid 1900's glass trade seed beads beadwork in a whimsical floral pattern showing colors of greasy yellow, padre light blue, chalk white, cobalt, semi-transparent red, Cheyenne pink, semi-transparent dark green, greasy green, and a semi-transparent lilac. The set is in overall good condition with supple soft hide, foot patina pattern on the base and little bead loss. The set measures 11"L by 4"W sole with a 3 7/8"H ankle.
